Denon is a
Japanese electronics company that was involved in the early
stages of development of digital audio technology, while
specializing in the manufacture of high-fidelity professional
and consumer audio equipment. For many decades, Denon was a
brand name of Nippon-Columbia, including the Nippon Columbia
record label. In 2001 Denon was spun off as a separate company
with 98% held by Ripplewood Holdings and 2% by Hitachi. In 2002
Denon merged with Marantz to form D&M Holdings. The Denon brand
came from a merger of Denki Onkyo and others in 1939.

| Klipsch is
an American loudspeaker company based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Founded in Hope, Arkansas, in 1946 as 'Klipsch and Associates'
by Paul Klipsch, the company produces loudspeaker drivers and
enclosures, as well as complete loudspeakers for high end, high
fidelity sound systems, public address applications, and
personal computers. Klipsch Group, Inc., the parent company of
Klipsch Audio Technologies, also owns the Danish loudspeaker
firm Jamo, and in 2006 acquired the Canadian company Audio
Products International (API), makers of Mirage, Athena and
Energy brand speakers. In 2001 it acquired the company Mondial
Designs, manufacturers of electronics under the Aragon and
Acurus brand names, but subsequently discontinued those product
lines. On January 6th, 2011, Audiovox announced that the company
had signed a "term sheet to purchase all the shares of Klipsch
Group Inc". |

| Onkyo is a Japanese consumer
electronics manufacturer, specializing in home cinema and audio
equipment including receivers and surround sound speakers. The
word Onkyo translates as "sound harmony". The company started
under the name of Osaka Denki Onkyo K.K in 1946. The current
Onkyo Corporation umbrella includes the Integra and Integra
Research divisions as well as the main Onkyo brand. At present,
it is headed by Naoto Ohtsuki. |
